Bats in January

I received my "Bat heels" in the mail today! I was totally thrilled.  They are my first 'Charlotte Olympia' shoes.  I don't usually buy fancy / branded shoes as I wear out my heels easily.  But when I saw these shoes on sale ~70% discount from the original price @ net-a-porter, I knew I had to have them! ... my precious...

[About my shoes] They came in a beautiful box with Charlotte Olympia's signature gold spider web and black spider icon.  Underneath the shoes, you will also find a gold spider web charm.  The shoes were wrapped in spider web decorated tissue paper and a matching shoe bag was included.  There was even a Polaroid photo of the shoes which can be placed outside your shoe box!  Perfect for shoe divas who have TOO MANY shoes boxes to know which shoes are in them!

To complete my day, I am loving these beautiful earrings that I got from one of my best friends for Christmas.  (Thanks J!)  I can't wait to wear them when I go back to work tomorrow.

New Shoes . New Jewelry

I hope the start of January has been great for you too.

{ Personal } Shopping on Saturday

I went shopping with my good friend EP yesterday as she has just completed her exams. I stopped on my tracks when I saw the beautiful window display of the Bottega Veneta shop at Ion. Guess what are the "white bags" on display?.... *drum roll* They are actually candles! Can you believe it?! If you take a closer look, you can actually see the wicks. :) Awesome design!

What's in Your Shopping Bag?

It's Sunday and I went shopping with a fellow crafter & friend from Hong Kong! Charmaine was dropping by Singapore on her way back home. We had a great time checking out the supplies shop and stationary / packaging shops.

I got this cute mug. Ain't it sweet? I can't wait to use it. I love the cute red riding hood character. Reminds me of my Red Riding Hood necklace.

What do you think? Did you buy anything today?

What's In Your Shopping Bag? (June 09)

I have been really busy at work lately due to a go live of a integration project that I manage. I am been really stressed out. Nevertheless, when I am stressed, I shop! (I eat too!) Here's what I have in my shopping bag this month. I can't wait for them to get here!
  1. Postcard Sampler from theblackapple
I have always been a fan of Emily Martin (aka Black Apple) but just have not got round to getting anything from her shop. Finally, I found these great postcard samplers which makes the perfect addition to my postcard collection!. I bought The Ordinary Forest and Milkland postcard samplers. I love the milkland designs and colors (pastel grey/green and dusty pink colors.) The doll-like drawings are intriguing and interesting.

  2. Lil Wee Pals from lilweepals
These little wee pals are so delicate and cute. I love the shyness of these little creatures. I can't wait to have them donning my bookshelf! Taking advantaging of the free shipping promotions, I bought 3 of them! They are Butterfly Kisses, Lucky ladybug (pictured) and Bless this Home.
Hope you enjoyed what I bought and recommended. So what do you have in your shopping bag this month?

What's In Your Shopping Bag?

With the recent lack of inspiration and creativity, I decided to some time restocking my supplies and check out new gems & some of my favorite Etsy shops. Here's what I have in my shopping bag last week. I can't wait for them to get here!

  1. Brilliant emerald green onyx gold cluster hoop earrings by friedasophie
I love the rich green color of these emerald green onyx that is just so stunning that I got to have it! I have not seen any of these beautiful gems around before and they are just so delicious! I love the simple and chic designs of friedasophie and I think her gems have the richest colors that they will just pop with anything I wear! PS : She still have stock for the above earrings that I bought!

  2. AAA Aqua Chalcedony Smooth Teardrop Briolettes 13.75-14.5mm x10 by TheCuriousGem
I love the teardrop shape and the great AAA quality of these briolettes. When I buy gems, I usually make sure that they are at least AA grade and above. This is because I think it really pays to buy gems of quality and it shows in the photos and your work. This seller has one of the best collection of gems on Etsy and most of them are AA quality and above. I can't wait to start working on these briolettes!
So what do you have in your shopping bag last week?

New Purchase : Calendar 2009

Look what I just bought!! My last purchase before my trip to Taiwan. I have been meaning to get a new calendar for 2009 but did not manage to get down to it for the past weeks. Therefore I was so happy that Etsy Storque did a recent article about Calendars! So I sat down today and went through the series of calendars made by the most talented artists.

This is what I bought! I love the photos by irenesuchocki. They are so surreal and beautiful. The photos are printed against a black background which just makes the photos pop!

Another thing that I found while surfing the sea of calendars is that alot of Etsians are offering pdf calendars which allows you to print them out yourself and send them to your friends. The prices are just affordable and amazing. I am so tempted to buy another one for myself!

Till then.. I better stop shopping and get back to packing... Hope everyone have a great weekend of shopping :)

What's in My Shopping Bag? - 27 Oct 2008

I bought these on Etsy a few weeks ago and they just arrived! These are the awesome quality handmade rubber stamps from Norajane on Etsy!

Norajane's family runs Rubber Stamp Tapestry (www.rubberstamptapestry.com). Each stamp is handmade from start to finish. They specialize rubber stamps mainly in botanical images that can be combined to make one of a kind pieces of artwork. The largest part of their line of stamps are mounted on pegs for ease of use and for a stamping technique they referred to as “component stamping”. Their peg stamps are manufactured with placement lines which is a tool that her mother developed in early 2002 to make component stamping more precise and easy to do.

Here's one of those rubber stamps that I got. It is my favorite! One amazing feature that I love about these stamps are the pegs which are amazingly long as compared to those previous stamps that I bought. The long peg makes it easy to use. The stamp designs are also intricate and made to such great detail that when you use the stamp, these images appear exactly like the stamp.

I have bought many stamps in the past and sometimes when the rubber stamps are not made well, the stamped image appears like a BLOB! This is especially common when designs that have great details. Thus I was amazed and thrilled that these stamps are exactly what I wanted! Beautiful & Well Made! I will definitely be back and recommend them to my friends & family!

Now.. what is in YOUR shopping bag today?
