♥ NEW ♥ Czech Glass Beads Earrings . Bright Citrus Hues

These are the new earrings that I made with the vintage Czech glass beads that I found during one of my beads hunts. I made 3 pairs of earrings; each with a different mix of the citrus hues. I love the bright citrus colors as well as the unique twirl design of the glass beads. As you can see some of the beads are opaque in color and some has a tinge of translucent. Not one bead is exactly the same as the other.

  1. Cherry Tomatoes - red + orange + yellow
  2. Lemon Meringue Pie - orange + yellow + pale yellow
  3. Custard Tart - orange + yellow + cream yellow

What's in Your Shopping Bag?

It's Sunday and I went shopping with a fellow crafter & friend from Hong Kong! Charmaine was dropping by Singapore on her way back home. We had a great time checking out the supplies shop and stationary / packaging shops.

I got this cute mug. Ain't it sweet? I can't wait to use it. I love the cute red riding hood character. Reminds me of my Red Riding Hood necklace.

What do you think? Did you buy anything today?

Treasury - Red Tulips are so Pretty

It's great to be included again in a Treasury. It's the 2nd time this week. God is good to me. *beam*. My Red tulips drops wAdd Imageere featured in Kugey's Red Tulips are so pretty treasury.

Here are some of my favorites.
  1. Beautiful Red Tulip Card by BedermannArt
I love the red tulip against the gray/black background. It really makes the photo pop! Also, it's a great change from the expect-able rose to the beautiful but less featured tulips.

  2. Abstract Rembrandt Tulip Original Drawing by ellemardesigns
This drawing did not capture my heart at first sight. However, as I look deeper into the picture, I noticed the intricate designs and patterns of the leaves & tulip flower. Gorgeous.

  3. RED Tulip Drops. Earrings by Piggy (that's me!)
Lastly my beautiful drop earrings that are available in 9 different colors. I love these Lucite flowers beads that are just fun and beautiful to work with.

Treasury West - Little Red Riding Hood

I am so so lucky that I got included in 2 Treasury West treasuries at the same time! Check out my previous blog post for the first one! Here's the 2nd one called Little Red Riding Hood by thelittlefox. Today's must be a "Little Red Riding Hood" Day as I was featured in this fellow Singapore Etsian blog post. In both the Treasury West and the Blog, my Little Red Riding Hood necklace was featured. How cool!

Here are some of my favorite Little Red Riding Hood items.

  1. Multi Usage Little Red Riding Hood Wrap by StudioCybele
There are 5 different ways to wear this stunning hot little number. You can wear it as a wrap, a tube top, a skirt, a head scarf and a shrug! What versatility and style! Love the hot red color too!
  2. Little Red Riding Hood Mini Book by LittleGreenButton
Love the handmade illustrations and hand painted pictures. Great gift and collector item. A unique twist to the Ladybird version :D

  3. Little Red Riding Hood Necklace by Me!
Featured this necklace before on my blog and I think the charm is totally whimsical and cute! However, I am not sure why this item is still sitting in my Etsy shop! :( Any feedback?

Treasury West - The joy of Random

I am very honored to be included in NORMandLOU's latest Treasury West called The Joy of Random. It features a selection of their favorite items.
Here are some of my favorites from the selection
  1. Lovebird Pincushion by feltmates - I think these birds are just adorable. Bird designs are very hot and IN right now. I seem to see them everywhere especially the fat ones. They seem to be next in line after the OWL frenzy.
  2. Yet to Discover by artisanlook - I love this ring. I have the round dots and in lay opals for certain dots. Really simple & chic with the expensive look.

  3. Little Red Riding Hood by ME - I simply adorable this charm. I am not sure why this item is not being sold as yet :( I think this red riding hood charm is so cute and I am so blessed that the shop keeper actually took them out to show me before they were even listed in the shop. :)

Snagged a Treasury - Fairy Tales

Just after I updated my blog with an Etsy treasury which included my hedgehog necklace! I managed to snag a treasury of my own!! :D Hurray!

What should I do.. what should I do... I know! In view of my latest necklace, I decided to do a fairytale theme treasury. Can you guess what are the fairy tales that are featured in my treasury?

From the above, here are some of my favorites.
  1. Peas Porridge Set of 4 yellow bowls - by LovinCup
These bowls look so yummy to hold my porridge. I love the imprinted letters and make them fun to look at while eating my porridge.

  2. Snow White Pocket Mirror - by lely
This is a beautiful and different interpretation of Snow White. Whenever people think of Snow White, they would naturally think of the Disney version where there is short hair lady with fair skin, wears a red ribbon headband and has a dress that's blue, red and yellow. This version is more delicate and vulnerable.

  3. Little Red Riding Hood Necklace - by Me!
Last but not least, my latest favorite, a whimsical little red riding hood charm necklace! I simply adorable this charm. I was very blessed to stumbled upon this lovely charm that was not even "priced" when I bought them :)

One of my items was included in a Treasury on Etsy again! It still gives me the thrill whenever I see a "golden" star while browsing the treasuries. The treasury that featured my item is called White and Red. Like the title, it is a selection of white & red items.

Some of my favorites in this treasury are

1) Glass Pendant with Scripture / Saying by ImJewelee - I love to put my favorite bible phrases in a glass pendant! It would be a perfect gift for birthdays or baptism!

2) Petite Cherry Blossom Birds - This is the last piece of these gorgeous earrings! Love the striking red against the silver birds.

Snagged a Treasury - A for Apples!

I just snagged a Treasury! And in honor of my latest necklace.. I have decided to do a Treasury full of apples! I love apples since when I was really young.. I guess it's because a. Apple is always the first one that you learn when you are learning about the alphabet, b. My Chinese / Mandarin name is inspired by Apples. 丽苹 literally means beautiful apple :) and c. they are usually more yummy than pears and lot more crunchy than bananas and sweeter than oranges... Hope that's enough reason to love them! Here's my treasury!

I think I have done a apple theme treasury before but at that time, I had red apples vs green ones. This time, I decided to pick mainly red apples. From the above selection, the following are my favorites.
  1. Zakka Apple Trinket Box by Wunderkind
    - I love the cute apple shape box that allows me to keep all knick knacks. It also beautifies the place like a cute ornament. It is available in RED or GREEN.
  2. Custom Apple Teacher Dish by thebrickkiln
    - I love this cute dish that is a perfect gift for any teachers or even colleagues. I can imagine putting my paper clips and other small stationery items on it! You can even custom it by indicating your receiver's name!

  3. Silver Red Delicious Apple Silhouette Necklace by ANORIGINALJEWELRY
    - I love the matte finish on this simple yet chic apple pendant. It's a perfect for everyday wear. Love it!

  4. Red Apple Necklace by ME!
    - I love the bling bling apple that glitters. It stands out with no matter what I wear. Definitely a conversation starter or attention stealer! :P I love it so much that I decided to make one for myself!

Snagged a Treasury - Red vs Black

I managed to snag a treasury AGAIN! This is so addictive and fun! And the theme of the treasury is "Red vs Black" sorry for the lack of imagination for the title but red and black are my favorite colors! In fact, they are the exact color theme that I used for my living room :)

Out of the my treasury picks, here's 2 that I absolutely adore.

1) Zippy Red Stuffed Guinea Pig Plushie Baby Size
I have always been a fan of Zygopsyche and her guinea pigs /rabbits plushies. They are simply adorable and cute! Here's Zippy the Red Guinea Pig.

2) Big Eyes - Be Mine card
I know.. i know.. this card can look a little bit creepy (like a stalker stalking you holding his heart) But it is this creepiness that makes this little card so interesting and eye catching. You would not have any problem getting the attention of the reader with this card. Something to think about for the coming Valentine's Day :)
